Glendale Golf & Country Club Dress Code

Our vision for The Glendale Golf & Country Club states: “To provide the Members and their guests with the premier golf facility in the Edmonton area . . . that will meet the Member’s expectation of what the private golf club experience should be.” Our dress code reflects this vision and applies to all members, their guests and to all areas of the facility (excluding the pool). Members are responsible for their guests and are expected to make their guests aware of this policy to ensure they dress in accordance to this dress code.

ANY BLUE JEANS OR GARMENTS COMPOSED OF DENIM MATERIAL
OF ANY COLOUR ARE DEFINITELY NOT PERMITTED

 Note: Denim may be worn prior to the 1st day of golf in the spring and
after the last day of golf in the fall.

Slacks and Shorts
Golf slacks and tailored shorts generally of a style and kind sold in the Pro Shop are acceptable. Shorts must have a minimum 6” inseam. For Ladies the minimum length for tailored dresses, skirts and/or shorts shall be between the mid-thigh and the kneecap. Cargo slacks or shorts (outside pocket) are not permitted.

Head Wear/Hats

Hats are to be worn with the visor forward and are not permitted in the upper level of the clubhouse except for medical reasons.

Clubhouse
All members and their guests are expected to dress tastefully in a manner appropriate to a private golf & country club. Sundresses and appropriate formal or semi-formal attire is acceptable. Sweat suits, gym wear of any type is prohibited as well as any attire with gaudy or vulgar slogans. Midriffs must be covered.

Staff have been empowered to interpret and to enforce these dress regulations and have been directed to ask any person to change into suitable attire or ask them to leave the Club premises if he or she, in the opinion of management, is not suitably attired. Management will have ability to use discretion when enforcing the dress code with young children.

Golf Shirts and Tops

Male
Men’s shirts must be tucked in unless designed with a tailored square bottom and buttons down the front from top to bottom of the shirt.
Shirts must have a collar, mock collar shirts are permitted; the collar must be a minimum 1 1/2” high.

Female
Golf shirts must have a collar (mock necks are acceptable) and/or sleeves.

Dress Code in Effect from April 1st to October 31st .
