Pictures from Yesterday

The golf course is currently 100% snow cover with depths ranging from 25cm in exposed areas to 45cm in the shade. Which is slightly better than the 35-50cm seen last week. With the recent warm temperatures, Turf Care is closely monitoring areas with ice and when snow depths compact to 10-15cm layer,  staff will help facilitate the melting process. At this time, it is to early to tell if there is any turf damage or not throughout the property. Fingers crossed! With the nighttime lows dipping down below the -10C mark, we aren’t seeing the rapid melting we would like due to how long it takes to reach those daytime highs. Most days we hit the high around 3 or 4pm only in time for the sun to start setting.

At this point it is to early to guess on an opening date based on the amount of snow we still have on property. Stay tuned to the Turf Care Blog near the end of March and beginning of April as we will be posting weekly on the progress of the golf course.

Here are a couple pictures from yesterday.
